White Blue Anointed Procession Standard Deck Mtg

Without crazy combos and explosive Marvels in the format, we're all forced to fight fair… ish. Today's deck creates a ridiculous number of tokens and gains an obscene amount of life while scrying every turn—far from fair when you're on the other side of the table.

Anointed Procession is what makes it all possible. Creating an additional token is a meaningful bonus, and each subsequent Procession stacks to continue creating more and more tokens. The longer you prolong the game, the more you can take advantage of this effect, and your opponent will be buried underneath your stack of tokens.

Anointer Priest is an unexciting common in Amonkhet Limited, yet it has made a real impact on Standard. Not only does the embalm mean that your opponent won't easily be able to remove a Priest, but you're also getting a token out of the Priest itself. This combos with Procession on multiple levels. You get extra tokens for each Procession, gain extra life each time, and should your Priests die, the Procession will give you multiple Priests on the embalm. This results in absurd life gain early in the game.

You're going to need ways to produce a steady stream of tokens in order to maximize Procession and Priest, and Hidden Stockpile is the big payoff here. It will produce tokens during your end step and let you scry through your deck to find more copies of your important spells. Need more Stockpiles, Processions, or Priests? Stockpile them up.

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar is a broken Magic card. He becomes even more unfair in a deck that takes advantage of creating tokens every turn. Once the board is completely flooded with Knights, Priests, and Servos, Gideon can cash in for an emblem to end the game immediately.

Thraben Inspector providing a bunch of Clues off of Anointed Procession is pretty cute, and you can always use additional blockers for Gideon or fodder for Hidden Stockpile.

You've got the late game on lock down. Between planeswalkers, your incredible enchantments and their synergies, and Anointer Priests providing life gain, all you have to do is get through the early stages. Fumigate will sweep the board, gain a bunch of life, and make sure that you're able to set up for the late game. Considering Gideon, Procession, and Stockpile are all completely unaffected by the sweeper, this is a pretty awesome start. The only actual creatures in the deck are the Inspectors and Priests, and killing off your Priests can be a benefit when Procession provides additional embalm tokens in return.

You'll need removal to buy time for your enchantments, and luckily that's easy to come by when you're in both black and white. Fatal Push is one of the best removal spells ever printed, and Cast Out is an answer to any problematic permanent you may encounter. Grasp of Darkness can kill most anything in the format, and is a perfect answer to a problem like Archangel Avacyn.

With Westvale Abbeys to close out the game and produce tokens itself, the W/B Tokens strategy has all the pieces to defeat the midrange and aggressive strategies of Standard.
